Despite all its faults, American Horror Story season 12’s best qualities prove that one major change may still save the series. Every season of American Horror Story was connected until the show’s twelfth outing. Unlike every earlier season, American Horror Story: Delicate is based on an existing novel. Danielle Valentine’s Delicate Condition provided season 12 with its source material and, although the adaptation wasn’t entirely faithful to the book, the season did jettison any links to earlier outings. Its finale may change this, but most of of American Horror Story: Delicate Part Two still has not referenced earlier seasons.
